Pick-up at and drop-off at Downtown Hotels, Airport
Hotels, and in Burnaby at the Accent Inn. Drop
off at airport as well. Our traffic,especially
in Vancouver, is unpredictable and we therefore
will work closely together with a Taxi Company
in order to serve our customers on time.
Express Pick Up:
To serve our customers faster and better we ask
that the following customer information be sent
to us at least one week prior to pick-up.

Pick up and Transfer Times are between 10am to

The client must phone early in the morning or
the day before, if they wish to be picked up. The
client must pick-up and return the vehicle at Go
West unless otherwise specified.
Upon
delivery of the vehicle, the client must hold
a voucher containing the particulars of the
rental: party’s name, reference number, type
of vehicle, items prepaid and items to be paid
locally.
Orientation:
-
Owasco
thoroughly explain the vehicle and appliances
to our customers in person with
detailed instructions so they will be sure
to enjoy
their camping trip.
-
Owasco explain
the rental contract at which time we will
collect for items not
prepaid, insurance premium and cleaning
security deposit.
-
Owasco
give advice on where and how to drive in
Canada. An explanation of how
to operate the vehicle will be given in
English, German, Dutch,
Italian
or French according to the client’s preference.
-
The
clients will receive free tour packages,
maps and campsite information along with
a personal explanation of things to do
and see! Free storage of
luggage is also provided.
-
A
reminder sheet will be given informing
the client again what to do in case of
breakdown or accident, rules and regulations
of the road and how to maintain
the different vehicles to operate the RV safely.
-
We familiarize our customers personally
with our vehicles and if requested, we
will take them for a short test
drive. We spend
60
minutes on this “hands
on” explanation. (NO video!)

Vehicle
Pick-Up and Return:
The vehicles are generally handed over between
10:00am and 3:00pm and must be returned between
8:00am and 10:00am. No pick ups or drop offs after
3:00pm. Late returns will be charged an extra CAD
$50 per hour and our transfer to the hotel will
be void. No refunds for early return!
Pick up times:
Pick up is available between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
No pick up's or drop off's after 3:00pm
Drop Off times:
Drop off is available between 8:00am and 10:00am.
For vehicle returned late, late fees of CAD
$50 per hour apply and return transfers will
be void. No refunds for early return.
Renters’s
Responsibility:
Every renter must have a valid
credit card to be able to rent an RV from Go West.
The renter is responsible for the vehicle and will
be charged for any misuse or undue care, mechanical
damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or
failure to provide normal maintenance.
This includes checking engine oil, fluids and
coolant levels at each refuelling, as well as
reporting mechanical failures immediately. Necessary
repairs over CAD $75 require / need prior authorization
from our office. Insurance coverage is void by
not reporting any damage to Go West and Insurance
Company within 24 hrs. Returning
the Vehicle:
The vehicle is checked when returned to the
depot, for cleanliness and for any possible
damage. If the vehicle has been returned on
time, gasoline tanks are full, waste tanks
are empty, vehicle is clean and there is no
damage, there is no extra charge to the customers;
Except extra kilometres.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND FOR EARLY RETURN
OF THE VEHICLE AND UNDRIVEN KM'S.
Roadside Assistance:
Customers renting Go West vehicles, have 24-hour
Ford and Chevrolet roadside assistance in
Canada and the USA. A car rental is provided
if vehicle is not repaired the following
day. This service does not cover the expenses
for non-mechanical difficulties such as running
out of gas, cooling fluids or oil, tire and
radio problems, air conditioning, losing
keys, etc.
Availability:
If, for any reason, beyond our control the
reserved vehicle is not available, Go West
reserves the right to substitute a vehicle
of equivalent value, to refund all payments
without further liabilities, or offer a higher
rated vehicle at no extra cost to the renter.
Any subsequent expenses (additional ferry
costs, gasoline, etc.) are the renter's responsibility.
Should a lower rated vehicle be offered, Go
West's only obligation is to refund the cost
difference between the two vehicles. In the
event that the renter refuses to accept the
vehicle offered, the renter acknowledges that
all payments will be forfeited and he / she
will have no further loss or damage against
Go West.
Important: Always add 2ft to any vehicle for "ferry
bookings". Northern Surcharge:
CAD $300 per rental.
For all travel north of Fort St John on the Alaska
Hwy, Cassiar Hwy, into Yukon and Alaska. Northern
Rental must be advised and confirmed at time
of booking. We allow northern rentals with Non
slide C22-25 and C26 slide out vehicles. 3 Week
Minimum Rental Period.
Canada Coast to Coast:

enables the customer to enjoy ALL of Canada!
Why explore only one coast when you can see
them both!
Here is how it works:
-
The
customer flies into Toronto, spends
the first night in an
airport hotel and
goes through the company’s rental
and orientation process the next morning.
-
The customer leaves
Go West, Toronto for a minimum 10 day
tour of the East.
-
After dropping off
the vehicle at Go West, the customer
boards a
flight bound for Vancouver or
Calgary. The customer proceeds to Go
West
for the second leg
of the tour and picks up an identical vehicle. As a result, the
customer will not have to undergo a second
motorhome orientation. Then the
customers
leaves
Calgary or Vancouver for a minimum 10 day tour again.

The vehicle
may be dropped off in Vancouver or
Calgary.

Drivers - Age Requirements:
Properly licenced drivers will operate the vehicle,
21 years of age or older. Maximum age is
75 years.
For persons under 25 years of age VIP insurance

An international licence is recommended for overseas
customers.
US Border Crossing Fee: Free.
Cleaning deposit:
CAD $150 (CAD $250 for the Class A) - is processed
at time of rental and refunded upon return
of clean unit.
NO Smoking is allowed in any of the vehicles.
NO Pets / Animals allowed.
Fees apply if rules are broken or the vehicle
is returned unclean.

Insurance Details:
Go West maintains liability coverage on
all its rental vehicles to a maximum
of CAD $5,000,000 for any bodily injury
and property damage liability claims
arising from the operation or use of
its rental vehicles.
Premiums for this basic public liability
coverage are included in all rental rates,
which also include premiums for collision
insurance and comprehensive insurance (CDR)
with a deductible of CAD $1,500 per occurrence.
All coverage and waivers are subject to
the express terms of the rental contract
and of the applicable motor vehicle insurance
contract.
The following are not covered
if damages are caused by:

Failure to maintain
all fluid levels;

Failure to use specified
fuel or use of contaminated fuel;
or fuel in water system;

Operation

Customer's Responsibility:
IIn the event of loss or damage to vehicle
while on rental, whether or not due to
the fault of the rental customer , the
customer’s responsibility for direct
and accidental loss or damage to the
vehicle is limited to a maximum of $1,500
per occurrence. There is no limit however
if vehicle incurs loss or damage not
covered by the insurance as outlined
in the insurance table. Security Deposits:
At time of rental we charge the renter’s
credit card with a Cleaning Deposit ($150
/ $250 Class A) and take a signed imprint
as an Insurance Deposit. Deposits are refundable
upon vehicle’s check-in if it has
been returned: On time, un-damaged, clean,
equipment complete, holding tanks empty
and gas tank full. Deposits given by charge – credit
cards, will be refunded by same.
Travel Restrictions:
Parking in Montreal is not allowed.
Motorhomes
are not permitted on Dempster Hwy, Inuvik,
Northwest Territories, Mexico
or Death Valley. Alaska and Yukon, Cassiar
Hwy, Alaska Hwy only with Northern Surcharge
(conditions apply). RVs are not permitted
on roads designated on the official provincial
or state maps as “other roads – gravel
or dirt”.
Go West is not responsible for hotel charges,
car rental or any other incidental or consequential
costs in the event of a breakdown.
Within 24hrs. a report to Go West/Insurance
Company and/or Police must be filed in
case of an accident, any damage to vehicle,
vandalism, fire or theft, otherwise insurance
is null and void.
All repairs for damages incurred whilst
travelling in unauthorised restricted areas
are the responsibility of the renter and
the vehicle insurance is void.
Northern Rentals:
A surcharge of CAD $300 (~300~) applies
to rentals travelling north of Fort St.
John on the Alaska Highway, Cassiar Highway,
into Yukon or Alaska.
Northern use must be specified and confirmed
at the time of booking.
We allow northern rentals with C22’,
C24’ and C26 Slide Out.
Winter and Spring Warning:
Vehicle operating systems are not fully
operable during subfreezing temperatures.
Due to freezing temperatures you may
not be able to use the water facilities,
toilet, shower on board your motorhome.
Please check with Motorhomes Worldwide
for further details.
Substitutions / Availability:
In the unlikely event that the booked vehicle
size is unavailable at time of departure,
we reserve the right to substitute with
a larger model. Any subsequent expense
(gasoline, ferry costs, etc.) are the
sole responsibility of the renter.
If
for any reason beyond our control the
reserved vehicle is not available, Go West
reserves the right to substitute a vehicle
of equivalent value, or to refund all payments
without further liabilities, or offer a
higher rated vehicle at no extra cost to
the renter. Any subsequent expenses (additional
ferry costs, gasoline, etc.) are the renter’s
responsibility.
Should
a lower rated vehicle be offered, Go
West’s only obligation is to refund
the cost difference between the 2 vehicles.
In the event that the renter refuses to
accept the vehicle offered, the renter
acknowledges that all payments will be
forfeited and he/she will have no further
loss or damage against Go West.
Breakdown
and Repairs:
The customer acknowledges the possibility
of a mechanical failure or breakdown,
and acknowledges that such occurrence
is an inherent contingency associated
with the operation of the vehicle, and
that such contingency is beyond the control
of Go West. The customer agrees to hold
Go West harmless from and against any
loss of time, transportation costs, inconvenience,
and loss of food in the vehicle, and
any and all expenses resulting from such
contingency in the event of a mechanical
failure or breakdown.
Go West will make all reasonable efforts
to assist the customer to obtain help or
arrange for repairs, subject to the location
of the vehicle and business hours of the
repair facilities.
Go West is not responsible for hotel charges,
car rental or any other incidental or consequential
costs in the event of a breakdown. Within
24 hours. a report to Go West / Insurance
Company and/or Police must be filed in
case of an accident, any damage to vehicle,
vandalism, fire or theft, otherwise insurance
is null and void.
The following are not covered if damages
